Have I mentioned that I love everything tropical? I knew if we were having a girl, that I wanted to do a tropical theme nursery. Here’s a peak into our little girl’s room.
I am obsessed with this wallpaper print. I knew I wanted to incorporate it into our house somehow, so why not our nursery?! If you look closely, there are little frogs and insects for her to find once she is older.
We even lined the drawers with it. And by we, I mean my wonderful husband.
We only did an accent wall with this wallpaper, and the other walls are painted pink. I didn’t want anything hanging over the crib, but the wall seemed bare, so we did this fun wall decal. Now, I will warn you, this wasn’t as easy as you may think. The stickers can be a little tricky to put up. Definitely a two person job.
And of course we added flamingos every where we could! The flamingo head, we found at Target, and the cute sign we picked up at a local shop. The flamingo statue can be found at Home Goods and the pineapple is actually a night light!
We stumbled upon this brand, 3 Sprouts, which has fun and inexpensive items like this unicorn toy box and flamingo wall organizer, which we are using for books. We also purchased a swan laundry hamper, which is a great size and easy to carry.
So why unicorns, you ask? Why not?! They don’t follow the tropical theme, but they are fun, and just as majestic as a flamingo. So we also purchased this fun unicorn rocking horse. Not only is it awesomely unique, it plays the ABC’s and other fun kid songs.
One of my all time favorite pieces in the room is her mobile, which we hung above the changing table.
I just hope she grows to love this room as much as we do. Or, she grows up and only wants to wear black clothing and dye her hair purple. Either way, we had a blast decorating!
